Funclass was born from Yan's six-year stint as an online English teacher. In this digital realm, she grappled with a familiar adversary—a lack of engagement and interactivity in her virtual classrooms. This challenge fueled her determination to find a solution.

Conventional online meeting and learning tools, designed for higher education and professional training, fell short when it came to engaging young learners aged 7 to 15. This was the gap Funclass was destined to fill.
